Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus (SOtD MDXL)

Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus is the second release from Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, since the break from the original Rhapsody Of Fire band.
Although is an interesting album, from the Italian Symphonic Power Metal band, it continues to show that this is oe of those cases where the whole was biger than the sum of the parts.
The two new Rhapsody-something bands summed, are not as good as the original Rhapsody Of Fire was.

Almost a year ago I was shocked with the split of one of my all time favourite bands: the Italian Symphonic Power Metal band Rhapsody Of Fire.
But, at the same time, the information that the split wouuld give birth to two bands filled me with the excitment to find out what new sounds would those bands create. Today, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody releases their first record, titled Ascending To Infinity. The path is the one that I expected him to follow. Lots of orchestrations, only clear vocals and many guitar solos with that barroc sounding, which is Turilli's signature.
