Yesterday, I had the privilege of seeing this awesome show.
Týr was top notch. I had no idea of how amazing they sound live. Loved the set list. Great stuff!
Korpiklaani was a bit below what I was expecting. The voice started two low on the first songs, and I think they focused two much on the last album. I missed Tequila. Vodka and Rauta, the two last songs, were the highlights.
Sabaton was simply out of this earth! The crowd was wild, and they were so happy and effusive on stage, that there was instant chemistry. Pure magic on top of an almost perfect set list!

The point of view of this blog on te subjct is the following:
- I agree that Babymetal is not a proper Metal band (at least not yet), as it's constituted by three teenagers that don't compose the songs;
- But their music is definitely Metal;
- To someone whose goal is to have the whole world listening to Metal music, having a different band that can bring new people to the genre, is always a good thing.

Arch Enemy (SOtD MXCIV)

The step down of Angela Gossow from her singing duties in Arch Enemy, to a Business Manager role in the band, was the news of the week.
To replace her, the chosen was the Canadian singer Alissa White-Gluz, from The Agonist.
She was actually thinking in being the singer in both bands, but in another twist in this story, the other The Agonist members decided that they wanted a singer 100% commited to their band, and replaced Alissa.
Singer Vicky Psarakis is now the new The Agonist voice.

Although there is a mourning feeling amongst Arch Enemy fans, the first glimpse to the new album from the Swedish Gothenburg Metal band has lifted the spirits of most fans, since it sounds awesome!
