Nordland II was the last Bathory album before the death of Tomas "Ace" "Quorthon" Forsberg from heart failure in June 2004.
Quorthon was the founder and composer of the Swedish Viking Black Metal band, and since 1991 the only band member. He was one of the Black Metal pioneers and probably the inventor of Viking Metal.
